Sensei David Rose is a 4th degree black belt in Aikido and was an Uchideshi (live in student) and Kenshusei under Shihan Fumio Toyoda. Sensei Rose has also had extensive wilderness survival training through a professional Tracker School by Tom Brown Jr.
Join us for an exciting weekend, immersing yourself in nature for aikido training, weapons practice, and introductory classes in wilderness survival.

Congratulations to the family of Sensei David Rose on their new son and also to the family of Sensei Mark Dring on their new daughter.
We wish them the best of luck and health to the mothers, babies, and the rest of the families. We also wish to offer condolences to Wynter Rose, seeing that she now has 3 boys (4 counting David). We expect to see the new children on the mat as soon as possible.

This test day was dedicated to the memory of Shihan Fumio Toyoda. The spirit felt the the dojo this day was over whelming. All who tested gave their best and we all were proud to be a part of the day.
Sunday – June 14th members of Soseikan Dojo went up as a group to the Japan Fest. What a great time we had ! We ate, we watched the various demos, Taiko, Koto, Judo, Aikido and so much more. We ran into old friends and made new ones.
On a final note, this weekend we are happy to welcome back to ” Fall for Toyoda “, Ed Germanov Sensei. The seminar will take place on Friday June 19th at 6pm, Saturday June 20th at 10am with group dinner at 7pm that evening and Sunday June 21st at 10am. Please check our events tab on the Kyokai site for more info. On a last note David Rose will be testing for Yondan on Sunday morning June 21st, come in and cheer him on, Good luck David. We look forward to seeing some of you this weekend and remember the Door is always open to all at Sosei Aikido Kyokai.

A Center for the Martial Arts (where Soseikan Dojo resides) had opening day ceremonies on Saturday, August 2nd. The day was filled with classes and demonstrations in Aikido, Kenpo, Yoga, Jujitsu, Tai Chi, and Iaido.
The Village President of Worth, Ed Guzdziol, performed a ribbon cutting ceremony along with Village Clerk Bonnie Price.
The day was a great success. Throughout the day, the school was packed with students, potential students, and friends. Many thanks to everyone who came to share it with us!

History was made on May 18th 2008. Sensei Tony Velada and Sensei Roberto Garza completed the deal that brings a new dojo into creation.
A Center for the Martial Arts was born and will be located on the corner of 114th Place and Harlem Ave. in Worth, IL.
This Center will be on home of Sosei Aikido Kyokai, Soseikan Dojo, Aikido and Iaido and Windy City Kenpo. Along with offering Kenpo, Aikido and Iaido we have been in talks and continue to contact other instructors to be to this New School as much as we can offer to all our members as well as to the Community at large.
