July the 4th, the anniversary of Fumio Toyoda Shihan’s passing, will be honored with special Aikido training sessions at Tokushinkan Dojo and Soseikan Dojo. Sosei Aikido Kyokai was formed to continue the teaching methodology of Shihan Fumio Toyoda and to offer Aikido for all. In doing so we honor his memory.
At Tokushinkan Dojo , Dianne Costanzo (Dojo Cho) will be holding special classes from 10AM to 12PM, and take time to revere and reminisce about Toyoda Shihan.
The 4th of July has additional meaning for the students of Soseikan Dojo. Those folks at A Center for the Martial Arts / Soseikan Dojo will be celebrating their 1st Year at their current location. They will be holding regular classes all day but the adults’ classes - 12:30PM until 2:30PM - will be combined as a Memorial Training Class for Fumio Toyoda Shihan, for who’s spirit the organization and the dojo were formed.
We hope you can make it in for training on this very special day. All students are welcome to come in and participate. All Kyokai Dojo Cho are welcomed to come in to both locations and share the mat.

Southwest Youth Collaborative

Refreshments will be served afterwards.
This will be the first time many of the people attending will have seen aikido or an aikido demonstration.
Twenty to thirty youth and young adults will be signing up for classes in July. The demonstration should help to increase those numbers.

This test day was dedicated to the memory of Shihan Fumio Toyoda. The spirit felt the the dojo this day was over whelming. All who tested gave their best and we all were proud to be a part of the day.
Sunday - June 14th members of Soseikan Dojo went up as a group to the Japan Fest. What a great time we had ! We ate, we watched the various demos, Taiko, Koto, Judo, Aikido and so much more. We ran into old friends and made new ones.
On a final note, this weekend we are happy to welcome back to ” Fall for Toyoda “, Ed Germanov Sensei. The seminar will take place on Friday June 19th at 6pm, Saturday June 20th at 10am with group dinner at 7pm that evening and Sunday June 21st at 10am. Please check our events tab on the Kyokai site for more info. On a last note David Rose will be testing for Yondan on Sunday morning June 21st, come in and cheer him on, Good luck David. We look forward to seeing some of you this weekend and remember the Door is always open to all at Sosei Aikido Kyokai.

This is a reminder that the 1st Kyu Exam for Sosei Aikido Kyokai is this Saturday, October 4th at 12:30 pm sharp.
Attached you will find the application for Kyu Exam. You must complete this form, have your test fee and any dues to your dojo resolved prior to the beginning of the exam.

In the Spirit of Friendship …
Sosei Aikido Kyokai and hosting dojo, Soseikan Dojo invite you to take part in an evening of Aikido. This training session is a fundraising event for Bushinkan Dojo and Head Instructor Shareef Muhammad Sensei. We come together in friendship to support Bushinkan Dojo in it’s efforts to purchase training mats.
This training event is open to all dojos, ranks and arts.
